Home For Summer

Well, I am safely back in Florida. Not much going on here. I have two jobs for the summer, so about 60 hours a week. I work at Sunglass Hut on the nights and weekends and will begin being a day camp counselor in June.

I forget if I have mentioned this, but my parents are well on their way to divorce. My mom handed my dad papers a few nights ago that will separate their financial assets. He got pretty ticked and told my mom that she would have to pay him back for the laptop he just bought me (because the one he bought me two years ago is dead). -Yes, I am a spoiled kid whose parents buy her laptops, but a laptop is pretty essential for school nowadays.

Alex drove down to Florida with me after exams and spent the week in Orlando. It was a wonderful week and a great way to finish an amazing school year. I have learned so much this past year about my family and the values they have instilled in me. Discovering more about how I grew up and the dynamics of my parents' marriage has helped me begin to understand what I should look for in my own relationships (romantic ones and plain friendships).

I don't regret following God to Asbury and full intend to stay there, unless He tells me otherwise.
